ABOUT PALO SANTO
Burning herbs and resins is one of the oldest forms of natural fragrance use.
The name Palo Santo means Holy Wood because its magic is in the alchemical process which happens after the death of a tree or its limb. In order for Palo Santo to gain its magical properties, it must die a natural way.
Palo Santo trees live for 80-90 years and after this death, the tree must remain in its habitat for 4 to 10 more years so it would complete its metamorphosis and only then it has sacred and mystical properties.
It has been used for thousands of years in Peru by shamans and healers.
Due to its nature, every stick of Palo Santo ill burn, look and smell different depending on where on the tree it came from.
Light the stick until you see a flame, then after few seconds shake it softly to turn it off (don't blow). The white cleansing smoke will appear together with its unique aroma.
